Tamarix tetranda

A fully hardy coastal plant providing front line shelter for exposed gardens. The tamarix is a large shrub that can be pruned after flowering in the spring. The stems are dark brown with small needle like leaves and the small pink flowers are in racemes along the stems up to 3 metres. Sunny.
