Rosa rugosa
Common Name: Ramanus Rose
Tolerant of quite extreme coastal conditions. Perpetual flowering and fragrant, with added interest in its large rounded hips. Makes a good hedge with its suckering habit. The flowers are a purplish-rose 8-9cm. across from June and the hips are bright red 2.5 cm in diameter.
Grows to 1.5 - 2 metres if left untrimmed.
