Myrtus communis
Common Name: Myrtle
Aromatic evergreen shrub, which is excellent for coastal areas. From mid-summer to autumn it has masses of white flowers, with conspicuous white stamens. Will grow to 3metres, but can be trimmed to keep a more compact shape.
In colder regions it may need the protection of a sunny wall.
