Common Name: Common Privet
Semi-evergreen shrub, native to Britain where it can be found in hedgerows and woodland, especially in chalk areas. Dark green narrow leaves and large panicles of white flowers in summer, followed by shiny black berries. A good plant for hedges including in coastal regions.
