Gaultheria x wisleyensis Wisley Pearl

Evergreen of dwarf habit - approximately 30cm. in height and spreading by suckers to make a low clump. Excellent ground cover. Used for underplanting in light shade or in heather garden. requires acid to neutral soil, so not suitable on chalk.
Edible dark purple-red fruits follow the late spring white bell shaped flowers.
