Common Name: Torbay Palm / Cabbage Palm
Often used as young plants in containers or formal park type schemes. When planted and allowed to mature they form an erect plant with few branches. The long tough strap shaped leavers at the end of the branches only. Mature plants have huge panicles of small white flowers in summer. Grows to 3 metres and tolerant of coastal conditions especially in mild areas. Grows best in sun or partial shade.
