Convallaria majalis
Common Name: Lilly of the Valley
Makes a carpet of low growing green leaves, up to 20cm. that appear in the spring. Above the leaves the very fragrant bell-shaped flowers are borne in late spring. Prefers a moist fertile soil in full or partial shade.
