Akebia quinata

Common Name: Chocolate Vine

A trouble free semi-evergreen climber. Ideal for sun or partial shade. Fragrant flowers - an unusual red-purple, in early spring. Vigorous and can therefore be used on pergolas, walls or up a tree. Prune if required after flowering. In a long hot summer long sausage shaped fruits can develop.
