Acanthus spinosus AGM

Common Name: Bear's Breeches

This lovely clump forming perennial, has narrow dark green leaves which are deeply cut with spiny edges. From late spring to mid-summer 1 metre tall racemes of pure white flowers with purple bracts are produced. Grow in any good fertile soil in sun or partial shade. A good coastal plant.
